HOLIDAY GIFT-GIVING LETTER

November 8, 2007

Dear Greenwich Academy Parents,

As many of you know, the Greenwich Academy Parents Association has worked very hard in recent years to find fun, inclusive ways for parents to express their appreciation for faculty and staff.

And the results have been overwhelming! Last year, for example, 127 GA employees received gifts donated to the monthly Faculty and Staff Appreciation Raffle by parents throughout the year. This effort culminated in the spring with the annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day coordinated by the parents, who set up and served breakfast, covered classes and adorned the entire school with flowers.

What makes GA’s Faculty and Staff Appreciation effort so special is that every parent plays a part. Made possible by the recent introduction of the annual $10 per family contribution to the GAPA Holiday Fund, the Parents Association is looking forward to giving a gift of $100 on behalf of all parents to every employee of Greenwich Academy at the holidays.

Most important, Greenwich Academy would like to thank you for your generosity in supporting our collective effort. With this in mind, we hope that, if you would like to reach out to teachers or staff during the upcoming holidays, you will send a personal message from yourself or your daughter in a note or handmade card. While not necessary, if you feel strongly about giving a gift, we ask that you do so at the end of the school year.

With gratitude and best wishes for the holidays,

Molly H. King
