Re: Appropriate Venues for GA-Sponsored events
In order to encourage inclusivity and a comfort level for the
entire community, Greenwich Academy strongly encourages the use
of the GA campus for GA-sponsored events. However, the school recognizes
that for some events such as lunches and some of the larger coordinated
events with Brunswick, the use of GA facilities may not be feasible.
In such cases, please discuss alternative sites with the GAPA President.
GA has made a concerted effort to make information
about the many facilities on campus available to all. There is
a page on the GA web site in the “Parents” section called “Venues
and Menus,” which describes every space on campus suitable
for an event and notes its standing and/or seating capacity. In
the spring, the Academy will acquire china and flatware for 200,
which can be used for special events. Mike Morgan, GA food service
director, has promised to be competitive with any private club
price and has provided a sampling of menu suggestions that are
listed on the web site.
The purpose of these guidelines is to recognize that the GA campus
represents familiar, shared and comfortable space for all students
and parents.
We appreciate your willingness to support these policies.
